New Website Southwest Airframe & Tank Services is proud to announce the release of our newly redesigned website! FAA Repair Station Audit In January 2011, our local FAA FSDO representative conducted an annual base audit of our facility and process implementation with zero discrepancies reported.
FAA Anti Drug & Alcohol Abatement Audit
In January 2011 the FAA Drug and Alcohol Abatement and Enforcement Team conducted their regulatory audit and review of our D&A Program and the process implementation. Zero discrepancies were reported.
New FAA Approved Certified Repair Station Awarded
After years of hard work by many dedicated SWAT employees and FAA Representatives, we have been awarded an additional Repair Station Certificate in the South Florida Region. SWAT C.R.S. # UZWR440Y is currently based in Boynton Beach Florida and will be fulfilling the needs of our customers with the highest standards that keeps SWAT at the leading edge of our industry.
Quality Management System In June 2011 SWAT begins implementation of ISO 9110 Quality Management Systems. Involvement in this program will enable SWAT to demonstrate our ability to provide services that meets customer necessities and applicable regulatory requirements to enhance customer satisfaction through effective application and continual improvement of our quality management system. Some of the highlights of this system are the focus on safety, training, and materials control.

Corporate Aircraft: In the first quarter of 2011, SWAT repaired over 100 aircraft to include the following: 3 Astras 18 Hawkers 1 Beechcrafts 1 Jetstar 47 Citations 16 Lears 2 Challengers 1 Piaggio 2 Conquests 1 Metroliner 6 Falcons 14 Westwinds 4 Gulfstreams
Again, SWAT performed over 100 Corporate Aircraft repairs in the second quarter of 2011 including:
1 Astra 8 Hawkers 1 Beechcraft 17 Lears 38 Citations 1 Merlin 1 Challenger 3 Metros 1 Conquest 1 Pilatus 10 Falcons 1 Piper Meridian 3 Gulfstreams 13 Westwinds 8 Hawkers 17 Lears 1 Pilatus 1 Piper Meridian 13 Westwinds
Heavy Aircraft: SWAT repairs on heavy aircraft in the first quarter of 2011 included 5 DC-8’s, 2 DC-9’s, and 1 Boeing 767. Heavy aircraft repairs in the second quarter of 2011 included 11 DC-8’s, 1 DC-9, 6 Boeing 767’s, and 2 Boeing 727’s.
The SWAT Family SWAT is full of pride with its family of employees. Not only do we consider our employees our family, but their personal family’s as well. We are pleased to announce some new SWAT family members in 2011…
Steven Sipp: Steven works with our heavy aircraft crew. He comes to us with a strong background in large aircraft fuel system maintenance as well as engineering and avionic experience.
Billy Williams: Billy also works with our heavy aircraft crew. He has A&P license and has over 7 years’ experience in fuel system repairs.
Ethan Likvir: Ethan was born into the SWAT family on June 24, 2011 weighing 9.2 lbs. Ethan is the son of Eva Metodi who has been with SWAT for over 4 years as an Aircraft Technician and Materials Control Supervisor. |
